This smoothie is SO good yet healthy. We try to drink it every morning. It's a recipe I got from the P.I.N.K. Method Diet system.
Pink Drink (Smoothie)
Makes 1 Serving
1 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk (Almond Milk, Hemp Milk or Rice Milk)
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
1 Cup Strawberries (Fresh tastes the best)
Ice (I put in roughly two pieces per serving)
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. We always double the recipe because we need two servings.
You can use a different berry if you'd like but we really love strawberries so that's all we've used.

Dr. Oz's Green Drink
We make this a lot - it makes a big jar of smoothie. It will keep in the fridge for at least 3 days.
This "green drink" is high in fiber, low-calorie and rich in vitamins. Dr. Oz swears by this "breakfast" smoothie.
Dr. Oz's Green Drink
Makes approx. 3-4 Servings
2 Cups Spinach
2 Cups Cucumber (I just do one large cucumber)
1 Head of Celery
1/2 inch Ginger Root
1 Bunch Parsley
2 Apples
Juice of one Lime
Juice of one Lemon
Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix.
I don't measure the spinach but am sure that I'm putting more like 3 cups into the blender. We always add filtered water - we fill the blender about half way or less.

Saturday Morning's Smoothie
I made this smoothie this morning...no recipe just using what we had and it turned out great. So here's my recipe...I'm going to call it Green Pineapple.
Green Pineapple
2 Handfuls of Raw Spinich
Roughly 2 slices of Fresh Pineapple - I cut it into pieces and it was about 8-10 pieces
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Vanilla Protein Powder
1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
Roughly 10 Walnuts (more if you want)
1 1/2 Cups Water
7 Ice Cubes (you can add more if you like)
Put everything in the blender and mix. Makes 2 Glasses Full
This smoothie kind of tastes like a pina-colada. You don't really taste the spinich.
***I usually make more if it's a smoothie Chad likes and then I put the remainder in a jar and put into the fridge for later. With this one I put the second glass into a jar for later.***

PB&J Smoothie
This morning Chad and I created a new smoothie! It was SO good. He needed a break from his usual morning smoothie. It tastes just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Even your kids will love it. Here is what we created:
PB&J Smoothie
3/4 Fresh Banana
8-10 Frozen Strawberries
1 tbsp Peanut Butter
¼ tsp Cocoa Powder
1 tbsp Vitamin C Powder
1 Handful of Walnuts – Probably equal to 1/3 of a cup
4 Ice Cubes
1 Cup Water
Mix everything in the blender and serve!
Here is a link to the Vitamin C powder that we use. This Vit C Powder is good because it's natural - completely from fruits and veggies. There is no extra crap added into the powder. You don't really notice that it's in the smoothie. We highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get more vitamin C in a healthy way. This is the site that we buy it from because it's cheaper than the store. I've only been able to find it at Whole Foods. Click Here
I will take a picture of the smoothie next time we make it so I can post a picture with the recipe. Hope you all enjoy this one!

So Healthy Smoothie
So Healthy Smoothie
1 Cup Fat-Free Milk
1/4 Cup Orange Juice
2 Tablespoons Vanilla Yogurt
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Small Banana, sliced and frozen
2/3 Cup Frozen Blueberries
1/2 Cup Chopped Peeled Mango, frozen
1/4 Cup Frozen Unsweetened Peach Slices
In a blender, combine all ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.
I usually buy extra bananas and slice and freeze each banana in a baggie. That way I have enough for a week.
I will add a picture next time I make this smoothie.

Kick The Blues Smoothie
Here's a smoothie recipe that we make when we think we might be coming down with a cold.
Blueberries are rich with antiviral and antibiotic compounds that you so need during this time. Together with the rich beta carotene from the mango, your immune system is well protected from the free radicals attack.
1 cup of fresh/frozen blueberries
1/2 banana that is just almost ripe (less calories)
1/2 cup mango slices
1/2 cup milk of choice
1 tablespoon of any kind of ground nuts (optional)
1 teaspoon chlorella/spirulina powder
Put everything in the blender and blend. We usually will add 3 ice cubes so it's a bit colder. Completely up to you though.
For those of you that don't know what Chlorella is I will give you a little background. Chlorella is a green algae. People use it for detoxing. It has the ability to reduce high blood pressure, lower serum cholesterol levels, accelerate wound healing, and enhance immune functions.
You can research it if you'd like. We have found that the best and purest brand for Chlorella is Sun Chlorella Granules 3g packets.

Here's a link to their site where you can get more information. http://www.sunchlorellausa.com/sun-chlorella/what-is-chlorella.html
